How long is a typical lesson?
Half-day sessions of approximately three to four hours, or full-day sessions for more advanced topics.
Do I need any prior boating experience?
No. Lessons are structured to meet you at your current level. First-time owners with no prior experience are welcome. The session plan is built around where you are starting from, not where you are expected to be.
Do you use a training vessel or mine?
All instruction takes place on your vessel. Teaching you to handle a training boat does not prepare you to handle yours. The entire value of a private lesson is that it is specific to your boat and your waters.
What if the weather is not suitable on the day of the lesson?
If conditions are not safe or appropriate for the skills planned, the session is rescheduled. Safety is the first lesson.
